  • Preity Zinta On Bollywood Actors’ Silence Over India-Pakistan Conflict: “Being A Fauji Kid…”

Amid India-Pakistan tensions, a large number of Bollywood actors have been targeted by the Internet for their silence over the Pahalgam attack and the Operation Sindoor. Preity Zinta, who is always vocal about contemporary issues, has hosted an AMA (Ask Me Anything Session) on X (formerly known as Twitter) where she responded to the fan query why other Bollywood actors haven’t spoken about the India-Pakistan conflicts.

A fan wrote, “What’s your opinion & take on so many costars & celebrated Bollywood stars did not condemn the #Phalagamattack nor did they come out in support of our armed forces during #OperationSindoor We appreciate you stood for India, but many in Bollywood did not.”

Clearing her stance, Preity Zinta said she feels like speaking out being a fauji kid.

“I cannot speak for everyone else as people process things differently. Being a fauji kid and coming from an army background, these things hit close to my heart, so I am very vocal about how I feel I have seen the grit, the sweat, the blood, the tears up close. Sometimes I feel Fouji families are a little stronger than the Fouji’s themselves!

“Have you seen those mothers that give their sons up for our country, those wives that will never see their husbands smile again and those kids that will never have their fathers or mothers guide them through life! This is their reality & this will never change irrespective of others opinions or comments so god bless them all,” Preity Zinta wrote.

  • Operation Sindoor Reflects PM Modi’s Strong Political Will, Fire Power Of Armed Forces: Amit Shah

Shortly before the ceasefire breakthrough, India had warned that “any act of terror will be considered an act of war”.

Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that Operation Sindoor, India’s counterstrike in response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, is a reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political will, intelligence gathering by various agencies and fire power of Indian armed forces.

Operation Sindoor is a unique symbol of PM Modi’s strong political will, the accurate intelligence of our agencies, and the impeccable strike capability of our three armed forces, said Mr Shah, after inaugurating the new Multi-Agency Centre (MAC) at North Block in New Delhi.

The multi-agency centre, under the Intelligence Bureau, was created in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks with an aim to share timely inputs among various stakeholders involved in law enforcement.

After four days of hostilities that alarmed the world, India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire, stopping all military action on May 10.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, confirming that the two countries have “worked out an understanding”, said India would continue its uncompromising stance against terrorism.

  • Bhuvan Bam’s Befitting Reply To Pakistani User’s “Unfollow” Remark Goes Viral: “Standing With My Country”

Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, a Pakistani user asked Bhuvan Bam to unfollow. The actor-influencer responded with a firm reply that is now being widely praised on social media.

The interaction took place on Instagram, where the user took to the comment section of one of Bhuvan Bam’s posts and commented, “Sorry Bhuvan Bhaiya, unfollow.”

Responding to this, Bhuvan Bam wrote, “Brother, if you lose followers for standing with your country, then so be it.” His reply has drawn appreciation from many users online, who are lauding his stance.

This happened amid growing tensions between India and Pakistan. The escalation follows India’s launch of Operation Sindoor – a series of targeted strikes on nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The strikes came in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.

Bhuvan Bam began his career on YouTube by creating comedy sketches. He later transitioned into acting and has featured in web series like Dhindora and Taaza Khabar, playing lead roles in both. He also hosted his own talk show, which featured celebrity guests such as Shah Rukh Khan, SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan.
